FSM Wealth, Inc. is led by financial professional Brian D. Heckert, CLU, ChFC, AIF®, QPFC*. Since beginning his finance career in 1985, Brian has been an involved and successful industry leader, dedicating his professional life to providing strategic advice and services for individuals and businesses. By serving as the 2016 President of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®, and as the 2019 President of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) Illinois chapter, he has gained a broader world view and brings a breadth of experience to the firm.
Brian is the author of the book 401(k)nowhow: An Insider’s Guide to Retirement Plan Options and co-author of the book A Study-Group Success Story: Best Practices from Our Give & Grow Group’s First 20 Years Together. He has been featured in media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, CNN Money, Business Wire, and ThinkAdvisor. In addition to his written publications, Brian has shared his industry knowledge on podcasts and radio shows. In recent years, Brian has spoken to audiences as large as 15,000 in 30 states and 25 countries on topics ranging from advanced planning ideas, practice management, to whole-person living.
As a strong believer in giving back, Brian has been involved in several community and charitable organizations. He is a 30-year member and past president of the Nashville Lions Club; served on the leadership board for The MDRT Foundation as Executive Committee Liaison; was the Chair of The Million Meal Challenge at the 2010 MDRT Vancouver Annual Meeting, the leading effort to prepare and pack one million meals over a 3-day period; donated land for the Kaskaskia College Nashville Education Center; donated land and labor for Washington County University of Illinois Extension office; served on the Nashville Community High School Board; and served as the president Nashville Chamber of Commerce. Brian is also a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Parish in Nashville, IL.
Brian and his wife Mary have four children, four grandchildren, and reside in Nashville, IL.
